| The following eggs have been sold, but are presented as examples of my work: |

| Well, its not exactly printmaking, but the story goes like this: In 2006, members of Green Bay Art Colony, of which I am a member, were given Emu Eggs by Patti Wouters of Rock-n-K Ranch. She challenged us to "do something artistic" to the eggs and then donate them to Art Spectacular to raise money for the non-profit group. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to use some of the printmaking processes I was familiar with to paint resists on the eggs and then "etch" them in acid. Emu Eggs are unique in that they are made of multi-colored layers. The first etching removes the outer dark layer revealing a teal layer. The second etching goes deeper into the teal layer, revealing a lighter layer. After the eggs are etched, they are cleaned again removing the resist and all traces of the acid. They are then sealed with a protective coating. |
